May 2008 - Burton Business Club elects Tony Harvey-Bacon to the committee.
At the Burton Business Club AGM held in May 2008 it was proposed and seconded that Tony be elected to the BBC committee as the clubs webmaster. He was honoured to accept the role and position. Derek Liddle the new Chairman welcomed the election and infusion of new blood to the committee, saying that with Tony's help we can look at increasing the profile within the business community and thus generate an increased membershhip of the club.
The first task for Tony is to carryout a complete revamp and design of the Burton Business Club website. The redesign will compliment the changes within the club that are desired by the committee to reflect the ever changing support requirements of businesses within Burton on Trent and surrounding area.
Derek's Tree was officially opened by the Mayor of Burton upon Trent on the 15th November. Derek's Tree has been running now for many years to ensure that disadvantaged children in Burton and surrounding areas, receive a Christmas present.
Mercia Web are very proud to be associated with the event. We have created a website that allows for people to make a donation to Derek's Tree. Last year over 1400 children were given a gift, this year we want to beat that number.

November 2009 - Google Caffeine
